Infection prevention is a priority at dental Arch. Our Staff are well trained in infection prevention measures—are responsible for maintaining sterilization and disinfection. We follow standard sterilization and disinfection protocols as suggested by international guidelines.
Hand Hygiene
Our Dental staff follows mandatory hand hygiene measures before dental examinations and nonsurgical procedures (handwashing and hand antisepsis). Perform surgical hand scrub for surgical procedures, before putting on sterile surgeon’s gloves.
Single Use PPE
Our dental staff and patients are provided with single use PPE to protect them from exposure or cross-contamination. All staff is trained for Covid Appropriate behavior and vaccinated and monitored regularly for temperature.
Sterilized & disinfected Surfaces
Dental Chairs and all contact surfaces such as the chair, the light, the trays and the equipment unit are disinfected after each appointment before the next patient walk-in. Our dentists and staff use fresh masks and gloves for each new patient.
Sterile instruments
Regular Cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment are carried out by trained dental auxiliaries. All instruments (examination or surgical) are seal packed for infection control and sterilized in a world class B-type Autoclave and monitored regularly for sterilization.
Environmental Disinfection
All surfaces and floors are daily cleaned with recommended disinfectants. Opratories are fumigated overnight. Cleaning and disinfection of surfaces that are most likely to become contaminated like light handles, bracket trays, switches on dental units, computer equipment.
Bio-medical Waste Disposal
Bio-medical waste generated in the clinic is Disposed-off with the proper Bio-medical waste management company.
Sterilization monitoring
The autoclave is evaluated every week to be sure it is in perfect working order. A special indicator is placed into the autoclave to check for any possible spore contamination. This test along with the color indicators on the packaging is a double assurance that all instruments are 100% sterile and safe for patients.
